Chicago Cubs Trade Old Fan For Younger One
CHICAGO, IL – The Chicago Cubs traded long time fan Robert Peterson to the Miami Marlins for two younger fans. The Cubs, who have been looking to go in a younger direction, were said to be tiring of the forty -five year olds recent bad attitude and were excited about their new prospects.
“We scouted these kids from birth and we’re super excited, said Cubs general manager Jed Hoyer. Hoyer went on to say
“Chase Jennings is five-years old and he’s already shown he loves going to games, and wearing the jersey. Our other pickup, Tyler Smith – Wow, we’re looking at a newborn with nothing but upside. These kids don’t have a clue about the Cubs history which is just icing on the cake.”
The former Cubs fan, Peterson, had recently been ranting to anyone who’d listen about the Cubs lack of activity in the free-agent market and lack of wins for much of the season. It’s been reported that Miami pursued Stevenson aggressively; hoping to obtain a fan that even remotely cared about baseball. “We appreciate Robert’s support throughout the years,” added Hoyer. “But ever since [Cubs President] Theo and I came here we’ve made a promise to the organization to re energize the franchise. Plus, Robert is a real douche. ”
